We are a company offering PMI inspection services. The business has been established for over 20 years and is dedicated to Positive Material Identification, using the most advanced portable equipment.
I myself have over 40 years experience of metals analysis, 22 of which was spent at British Steel, progressing to the position of manager spectrographic analytical laboratories. The company consists of my two highly capable sons Jon and Steve, and myself Mick.
We are based in Lincolnshire but have carried out contract and callout work throughout the UK and parts of Europe.
Positive Material Identification (PMI); A type of Non Destructive Testing (NDT), PMI testing is a means of chemically analysing metal alloys used in engineering construction to verify that the chemical analysis adheres to the correct analytical specification required by the client. This is done using portable equipment, which uses spectrographic analytical principles which are non-destructive to the items being tested.
Positive Material Identification (PMI) enables the client to be confident when calculating stress, pressure and corrosion rates for example and is a huge step towards performance, reliability and ultimately safety.
Without PMI the problems created by using incorrect materials
can lead to catastrophic results, or in a less serious scenario huge rectification
costs and rework that can lead to a loss of production.
We feel that our many years of
experience
in PMI testing are unparalleled, and that the expertise is essential to
this type of work, both in the practical operational skills and the numerous
analytical specifications involved. Clients can also be assured of a friendly
yet professional and efficient service from a family owned and run company,
which has achieved success by hard work and recommendation.
We are confident that our prices are very competitive, we work thoroughly yet efficiently due to our experience. Please contact us for further details. |
